The Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) is the first North American choir to win the title of “Choir of the World” at the International Choral Kathaumixw competition and festival in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada.

YPC-NYC competed against 21 other adult and children’s choirs from across the globe and won first place in both the “Children’s Choir” and “Contemporary Choral Music” categories.
